M101 LLB/Law (2 years)
Course description
This is a two-year LLB programme for advanced students (those with a degree in another discipline). It is primarily designed for graduates who wish to obtain a professionally qualifying Law degree but will also be of interest to those non-law graduates who have in an interest in reading law as a second academic degree.
Course outline
Full modules are worth 30 credits and half modules are 15 credits.

- Public Law (Constitutional Law
- Common Law I (Law of Contract)
- Law of Property I (Land Law)
- Criminal Law
- Law of the European Union (half module)
Year 2
- Administrative Law (half module)
- Common Law II (Law of Torts)
- Law of Property II (Equity and Trusts)
- Plus two 30 credit modules or a combination of 30 credit modules and 15 credit modules totalling 60 credits.
Option modules include:
- Commercial and Consumer Law (final year only)
- Company Law (final year only)

Not all of the modules listed may run each academic year.
Assessment
Assessment is mainly by examination, but some optional modules have an element of course work. Students in the final year of all the law programmes may choose to research and write a dissertation.
