The Queen Mary Law journal is run by undergraduate law students at Queen Mary, University of London.
The primary aim of the Journal is to provide students at the School of Law with an opportunity to publish elements of their legal work, with special emphasis on writing which falls outside the usual scope of the academic curriculum.
In 2009 the Law Society nominated two student editors, Luke de Freitas and Camilla Barker, to produce the 2010 edition of the Queen Mary Law Journal.
The 2010 Queen Mary Law Journal aims to attract submissions not only from undergraduate and postgraduate students at The School of Law, but also from further afield. Past editions have included articles by staff at the School of Law, as well as submissions by professionals and students from outside Queen Mary, and this is a practice that will be continued as part of the Journal’s diversity initiative.
The QMLJ is presently produced annually and distributed within the School of Law at Queen Mary, aiming to provide every undergraduate with a copy. In addition, copies are sent to and held at the libraries of all the University of London colleges, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and major national collections.
