The Bar Society is a student group created for those students wishing to pursue a career at the Bar. Our main aim is to assist in the education of the Department’s undergraduate students in regard to their professional development and experience of life within the profession. The Bar Society endeavours to introduce students to a breadth of experiences from a variety of sources, providing exposure to all members of the legal profession.
We offer our members the opportunity to experience practical legal and social situations within the professional environment by organising academic, career and social events throughout the year.
For an undergraduate student wishing to join the Bar as a career, experiencing life as a barrister and networking within the profession is a crucial element to both professional and personal development.
The Bar Society strongly believes in the needs of its members and therefore focuses on ensuring these needs are met. The Society is a new and vibrant organisation, committed entirely to your career at the Bar.
